A new major release of NavCaster® ( http://NavCaster.com ) has occurred! The release is a first for TrafficCentral, going mainstream by tieing the product line into the hot segment of social networking on the Internet. This release of NavCaster is truly the first consumer oriented desktop application that can serve a large percentage of the users of the Internet today.
NavCaster® appears like a traditional web browser and is based on Microsoft .Net technology. It provides a convenient and safe to use interface to access Facebook, Twitter, and allows customization of a list of sites that a consumer may wish to scan through quickly. The most unique aspect of NavCaster® is it's timed and automated "web scanner" technology that automatically cycles through the list of websites specified by the consumer at an adjustable rate of speed.
The advantages of NavCaster® are many over other social network browsers as well. It is more secure, not collecting nor needing the login credentials of the websites, and it also presents the social network and other sites in their natural form, identically to how they would be presented through Internet Explorer.
Some uses of NavCaster® are for simply saving consumers time daily while improving their ability to stay on top of current events and information on the Internet. From a corporate perspective, NavCaster® can be used to improve employee involvement and to keep employees on top of internal company affairs while saving them time and energy to scan through corporate portals and other announcement URLs. Custom corporate versions of NavCaster® may be available (tentatively in planning stages at this time).
A more strategic outlook on NavCaster® is to improve corporate efficiency by allowing corporations to use NavCaster® as a pseudo-firewall and preventing employees from surfing to undesirable sites on the Internet and wasting company time and dollars.
